A Thriving Life Begins in Your Home

Whether you want to be more productive, have more free time, or feel more on top of the activities and to-do's in your life, the state of your home plays a huge role in your ability to achieve those goals.

As someone who is very goal-oriented, I find it near impossible to work towards goals in a productive way if my house isn’t running smoothly. Even if my home isn’t in utter chaos, there are a few key characteristics that determine my ability to function.

I share those 11 secrets in our Home Thrive Guide—a free resource you can grab right here:

Why Your Home Sets the Stage

Even if you go to a full-time job each day, you spend a good deal of time at home. Your day begins and ends inside it; you sleep within its walls; your belongings live safely inside. You probably eat at least a few meals there, too.

Since it’s the hub that sets us off on the right (or wrong) foot each morning, the status quo of your house or apartment can greatly affect your mood.

From productivity levels and motivation, to the ability to relax and enjoy down-time, your space plays a crucial part in how you feel.

Your home’s state also affects many other aspects of life. For example, whether or not you can always find what you need, whether you have to do a big clean up job before you can have space to make dinner, and whether or not you sometimes run out of clean laundry. We are going to help you work towards fixing those things.

How to Cultivate a Thriving Life Starting with Your Home

Now for the best part: it’s time to show you how to refine and boost the state of your home to improve your lifestyle.

Grab our Home Thrive Guide below to access the 11 “high-thrives” that make the biggest impact in your home and life.

This guide will help you think about different ways to improve the status quo of your house to boost organization, elevate your style, and get the most benefits out of your space. Each strategy is simple and easy to implement so you can start making progress today.

1 | Analyze the current state of your home and life.

First, take a good, hard look at the status quo of your life and your home. Identify what is working well and pinpoint what isn’t. The goal here is to put your finger on the pro’s and con’s of your current home and life setup.

Where does life get chaotic? Where do you need more organization? What always feels like a scramble?

This will give you a birds eye view and uncover all of the things that need a change and a fix. And it will point out the areas that are already running smoothly.

2 | Visualize how you want your home and life to flow.

Next, take some time to envision your ideal home and life. Think about your “perfect day” or your “dream week,” and spend some time identifying what goes into an ideal day.

What does a smooth day look like to you? What are the key parts of your day, and what do you want them to look like? Do you have a morning and evening routine? What do you do in the middle of your day? What ways would a seamless day benefit your life?

This exercise will give you a clear idea of what you are aiming for so you can determine creative ways to reach those goals in the next step.

3 | Establish goals for each of the 11 key home characteristics.

You’ll need to grab our free Home Thrive Guide below to complete this step. Access it below.

Using our Home Thrive Guide, focus on the 11 key home characteristics to set specific goals that will help you thrive better. These 11 areas break down the secrets to a more productive and smooth lifestyle starting within your house.

How can you make small changes that make big impacts in your home and life? What specific goals can you set for each characteristic of your house?

The guide features simple and easy-to-implement strategies to walk you through different ways to improve the status quo of your home and therefore your life. Find out the 11 “high-thrives” that cultivate a thriving home below.

4 | Create a plan with small steps to make those improvements.

Next, take a look at your goals, and outline a plan for how you will accomplish them. All you have to do is think about little ways you can chip away at your new home goals. You’ll also want to figure out when you will make the changes.

Will you focus on one area of the house each day? Will you assign one day a week to batch your home tasks?

Now you can follow your plan one step at a time to start making your home thrive goals a reality. Consider creating some sort of routine or schedule to ensure you stay on track.

5 | Do the work to make your home a place to thrive.

Finally, it’s time to follow through with your plan and do the work you laid out. Whether you need to declutter, keep the kitchen tidy, stay on top of laundry, or do some fun DIY’s and paint jobs, make sure you show up to do the work that will transform your home into a thriving place.

To help you keep at it, find creative ways to add incentive.

What motivates you? How can you add reminders throughout your day to encourage you to do the hard work involved?

For example, if you declutter 100 items this month, maybe you get to purchase that cute throw pillow you’ve had your eye on. Or if you stay on top of the dishes for two weeks straight, maybe you get to enjoy your favorite fancy coffee or tea drink.

Find what works best for you, and give yourself a reward now and then because you’ve earned it!
